Arena BLM are hosting an evening on the 4th March at the newly opened Paramount Club at the top of Centrepoint to launch "Crunchonomics"

The event will explore the premise that in today's world, consumer attitudes are changing so rapidly that everything you need to know about them happened in the last 3 months.

As a media planning agency, it is absolutely critical we understand what today's consumer will be thinking tomorrow. As part of "Crunchonomics" we will be sharing insights from the consumer, brands and key media owners on the impact of the economic downturn and the opportunities this will create for business.

With the help of the other directors and also some friends of the agency, we will be presenting three principal pieces of work:

  • The first wave of findings from our new consumer panel created in January to analyse the latest shifts in consumer behaviour, attitude and media consumption in real time rather than relying on outdated data from standard industry tools.
  • The results of an advertiser poll conducted to identify the key challenges and issues faced by marketing directors in response to the effects of the economic downturn on their business.
  • The view from leaders of some of the largest media owners in the UK on how they plan on evolving their businesses to create new media opportunities for advertisers to succeed in 2009.
